Returns & Refunds Policy

At Aureafides, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This Returns & Refunds Policy explains how you can return items and obtain a refund. We are a UK-based business and this policy is in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

1. Your 15-Day Return Right

You may return most items within 15 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange, provided that:

  • The item is unused, in its original packaging and in a resaleable condition.
  • You have proof of purchase (order number or receipt).
  • The item is not excluded from return (see section 4 below).

This 15-day period gives you a chance to inspect the goods and change your mind, in line with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 where applicable.

2. How to Return an Item

To start a return:

  1. Contact us at support@aureafides.co.uk or via our Contact page, quoting your order number.
  2. We will confirm whether your return is accepted and, if so, provide you with a returns authorisation and instructions (including return address if applicable).
  3. Pack the item securely in its original packaging (or equivalent) and send it back to us. We recommend using a tracked delivery service and keeping proof of postage.
  4. Once we receive and inspect the item, we will process your refund or exchange as appropriate.

Return postage: Unless the item is faulty or not as described, you are responsible for the cost of returning the item. We recommend insuring high-value returns.

3. Refunds

Refunds will be made to the original payment method used for the order. We aim to process refunds within 14 days of receiving the returned item. Please allow additional time for your bank or card provider to credit your account. If you paid by card, the refund will appear on the same card. We will notify you by email once the refund has been processed.

If you received a refund but the item was delivered to you (e.g. we have not received it back), we may reverse the refund or take other steps to recover the amount, in accordance with the law.

4. Items That Cannot Be Returned

For hygiene, safety or legal reasons, the following may not be eligible for return unless faulty or not as described:

  • Perishable goods, personalised or custom-made items (unless defective).
  • Sealed items that have been unsealed (e.g. certain electronics or software) where unsealing would prevent resale.
  • Items that have been used, damaged or altered by you.

If in doubt, please contact us before returning.

5. Faulty, Damaged or Not as Described

If your item is faulty, damaged on arrival or not as described, you have additional rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. You may be entitled to a repair, replacement or full refund. In such cases we will usually arrange and pay for the return. Please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and, if possible, photos of the issue. We will resolve the matter in line with your legal rights.

6. Exchanges

If you would like to exchange an item for a different size, colour or product, please contact us. We will treat this as a return and a new order where appropriate; availability and pricing of the replacement item will apply.

7. Your Statutory Rights (UK)

This policy does not affect your statutory rights. In particular, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not, you have the right to reject them within 30 days, or to request a repair or replacement, or in some cases a price reduction or refund.
